What does the CIACC do?

  • Community mechanism to advise the DCF on the development and maintenance of a responsive, accessible, and integrated system of care for children, youth, and young adults
  • Enhances the coordination among local children’s behavioral health (CSOC) system partners
  • Enhances cross-system planning and coordination at the local level (between CSOC and DCP&P, Education, Juvenile Justice, Substance Abuse, DDD, Adult Mental Health, Social Services, etc.
  • Participate in community assessments to identify service resource gaps and priorities for resource development
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement processes within the System of Care
  • Participate and facilitate regional and inter-county activities
  • School Outreach
  • Provide information and referral, regarding where to find, and how to access children’s services

Who participates in the CIACC?

  • Families, caregivers, consumers, youth, community-based organizations, county government, and planning entities
  • Some areas covered by members of the CIACC are mental health, child welfare, health, education, juvenile justice, substance use, intellectual/developmental disabilities.
